In Y12 Women's Epee, Zoe Kim earned a 14th place finish out of 33 fencers as she lost to the eventual Gold Medalist. She has been working hard and we look to her bright future as she is still in Y10.
In Y12 Mens Epee, new epeeist, Jonathan Oh, earned his first medal in epee with a 5th place finish out of 40 fencers and a 1st place seeding coming out of pools! What a great result for his 2nd epee tournament ever! Congrats to his foil coach, Forrest MacDougall, and Precision Athletics as well for placing a great foundation in him. Chester Thompson, in his first tournament ever, placed 19th overall which is great for his first time out on the piste! Our Y10 epeeists showed great promise with Thien Scofield placing 34th and Andrew Moore finishing in 38th.
In Y14 Men's Epee, Miles Glapa-Grossklag was 4th out of pools, but lost to get into the top 16 with a close 14-15 loss out of 45 fencers. Rowen Hicks lost to the eventual Silver medalist with another close bout after a rough morning, losing 14-15, and finishing 25th. Evan Matsushita showed a lot of spunk and fight and finished 38th in his first tournament ever! Congrats!
